Ned Breslin '88 Wins Award For Social Entrepreneurship
Ned Breslin '88, CEO of Water For People, recently was one of four recipients of the 2011 Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship by the Skoll Foundation. Water For People and Breslin were honored for their work to create sustainable, locally maintained drinking water and sanitation solutions in developing countries.

North Country Public Radio aired an interview with President William Fox on April 26, 2011, where he discussed his use of poetry at gatherings of Laurentians, and read some favorite poems.
Thelmo President Robby Glass '13 was quoted in a May 2, 2011 story in the Huffington Post, on college students' reactions to the news of the death of Osama Bin Laden.
Elizabeth Edwards '12 was a guest blogger for the Washington Post's "Campus Overload" column on April 29, 2011, writing about what it was like to be studying in London before and during the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Edwards was also interviewed by the Watertown Daily Times and WWNY-Channel 7; London program director Pat Alden was interviewed for the Channel 7 story as well. Brian Abernethy '12, studying in London, reported on the royal wedding secne for his hometown newspaper, The Saratogian in an April 29, 2011 story.
Dana Professor of Economics Steven Horwitz was a guest on Fox Business channel's "Freedom Watch" on April 27, 2011, discussing the question of whether or not the world is running out of resources.

Softball Claims Post-Season Berth
The softball team swept a double header from Skidmore, 6-4 and 16-4, to clinch a Liberty League playoff berth Saturday. Sunday, the Saints lost at Union, 5-4 and 1-0. Baseball kept its playoff hopes alive despite losing three of four games at Skidmore this weekend. Women's lacrosse saw its season end with a 17-11 loss at St. John Fisher. Men's lacrosse also wrapped up its sechedule with a 10-6 loss to Hamilton. Men's tennis lost the third-place match in the Liberty League Championships to Hobart and finished fourth in the tournament held at St. Lawrence. Men's golf capped its season with a fourth-place finish at the Oswego Invitational. Aimee Caligiore '12 was seventh at the Williams Invitational and the women's golf team placed fifth. Both the men's and women's crew teams swept their races at Rome Saturday.
