'Ethics Of Cohabitation' Topic For SLU's Mackay Lecture
The 2011 Mackay Lecture at St. Lawrence University will be given by Eduardo Mendieta, professor of philosophy at Stony Brook University, on the topic "To Come to the World: The Ethics of Cohabitation." The lecture, open to the public free of charge, is on Tuesday, March 29, at 7 p.m. in the Common Room of Sykes Residence Hall.

SLU's Laurentian Singers Perform At Home Following Tour Of France
The Laurentian Singers of St. Lawrence University will present a concert on Friday, March 25, at 8 p.m. in Gunnison Memorial Chapel on campus. The concert is open to the public free of charge, and will give home audiences the opportunity to hear the selections performed during the Singers' spring break tour of France.

Spring Sports Swing South to Kick Off Seasons
Baseball, softball, tennis and lacrosse took advantage of the spring break to seek warmer climates and different competition. Softball posted a record of 6-6 in its southern swing, including victories over Hamilton, Albright, Smith, Salem State, Washington College and Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. Baseball was 2-6 in Florida, with wins over Otterbein and Knox. Women's lacrosse beat UMass-Dartmouth, 18-5, but dropped games to Connecticut College, 13-8, and Fredonia, 13-12. Men's lacrosse lost to Geneseo, 13-8, and Western New England, 12-9. Men's tennis was 2-1, with wins over Carthage and Schreiner. Women's tennis was 3-0, beating Carthage, Schreiner and Dickinson. Riding hosted the Region II Championships Saturday and advanced five riders to the zones - Suzanne Snyder '11, Casey Zuraitis '13, Hadley Deming '11, Jenna Gunnell '12 and Abby Cook '12.

Pavlus Is USTFCCCA Indoor Women's Athlete of the Year
St. Lawrence University senior Wendy Pavlus has been named the NCAA Division III Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Year by the US Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association and is the first Division III athlete to win both Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Year and Indoor Track Athlete of the Year in the history of the USTFCCCA awards program.
