St. Lawrence & Hobart William Smith Out To 'Settle The Score' With Donor Participation
Long-time rivals on the athletic fields, St. Lawrence University and Hobart William Smith Colleges in Geneva are now in competition to see who can boast the greatest participation in alumni giving in a challenge the schools call "Settle the Score."
|Six Students Selected As Summer Admissions Interns
Six outstanding St. Lawrence students have been selected as Summer Admissions Interns for 2010, with multiple opportunities to take part in the recruitment process for future students.
|Prof. Mayer Awarded Grant By Power Authority
Adjunct Associate Professor of biology Marilyn S. Mayer has been awarded a grant by the St. Lawrence River Research and Education Fund (SLRREF), which the New York Power Authority (NYPA) established as part of its relicensing of the St. Lawrence-Franklin D. Roosevelt Power Project in 2003. The grant to Mayer, for $20,000, was among projects "that will contribute to appreciation and understanding of the St. Lawrence River ecosystem," according to the authority.
SLU Student-Athletes Honored for Classroom Work
ECAC Hockey has announced that 136 student-athletes from the conference's 12 programs have earned 2009-10 All-Academic status. St. Lawrence University had 11 representatives on the All-Academic roster, including seven repeat honorees.
