Tsewang Lama'10 is blogging from her internship with Schools Without Borders, and will blog when she returns home to Nepal later this summer, and through her study in China this fall. Here's an excerpt: Schools Without Borders works with various youth-led organizations in Toronto and around the world. ManifesTO is one of them. This year ManifesTO worked with LuminaTO, Toronto festival of arts and creativity, to put up some exhibitions. Here's an excerpt: In Pakistan we not only suffer extreme religious fundamentalism but a complex mix of tribalism, retrogressive cultural values, and a decayed criminal justice system. Countering the institutions of hate, violence, and injustice that divide us - we need institutions of peace, music, art and unity like Seeds of Peace and the Chautauqua Institute to celebrate cultures, religions and emphasize human interaction through religious and political dialogue.
