Board of Trustees Actions: President Sullivan communicated a summary of Board of Trustees actions on Saturday, February 23. Planned facilities projects in the arts and sciences, annual capital planned purchases and planned refurbishments throughout campus, and the establishment of the 2008-2009 comprehensive fee are the topics in his communication.
Update on Security Alerts: On Thursday, February 21, Dean Tolliver sent an update on the sexual assault alerts that have been issued since September 2007, and invited the community to a forum today, at 2 p.m., in the Winston Room.

D. Young and Launders Science Libraries will hold a celebration for
the publication of the book The Sky Is Not A Ceiling: An Astronomer's
Spiritual Discovery by St. Lawrence University Priest Associate
Professor of Physics Aileen O'Donoghue on Friday, February 29, at
4 p.m. in the Josephine Young Room of Owen D. Young Library. O'Donoghue

Pesony '08 Nominated For National Award, You Can Vote!!
Men's ice hockey goaltender
Justin Pesony '08 is one of 10 Division I players in the nation nominated
for the Lowe's Senior CLASS (Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement
for Staying in School) Award, presented each year "to the outstanding
senior NCAA Division I Student Athlete of the Year." Fans' votes
help determine the winner.Read and Vote! |
Saints
Athletics
The
men's basketball team swept Vassar and RPI to clinch first place
in the Liberty League. The Saints will host the league playoffs
Friday and Saturday. The women's basketball team also swept RPI
and Vassar and will enter the playoffs at William Smith as the
second seed. Women's hockey won by a combined 18-3 over Princeton
and Quinnipiac to close out the regular season. The Saints will
be the No. 2 seed in the ECAC playoffs and host Yale this weekend. Women's
swimming placed ninth out of 17 teams at the New York State Championships,
with first-year student Hannah Grims earning provisional NCAA qualifying
standards in the 200-yard breaststroke.More

My goal is, by next Wednesday, to have completed and edited 20 pages of strong writing on the history and status quo of the tourism industry in Europe, focusing on the major changes that have occurred within the past century.
