 Education programs receive national accreditation
St. Lawrence University's undergraduate and graduate teacher education
programs, preparing teachers on the undergraduate and graduate levels
for service in public and private schools, have been accredited by
the Teacher Education Accreditation Council (TEAC) for a period of
five years, from June 2007 to June 2012. For more |
 Kirk Fuoss named Maurer Professor
St. Lawrence University Associate Professor of Performance and Communication
Arts Kirk W. Fuoss has been appointed to the Maurer Professorship
of Speech and Rhetoric, recently established by a gift from the Maurer

 Assistant Professor of Education Peter Ladd's book, Mediation, Conciliation and Emotions, was positively reviewed in Volume 22 of Negotiation Journal, published by the Harvard School of Law. A feature story about Ladd, his work and the review ran in the July 11, 2007, edition of The Thousand Islands Sun; the paper is based in Clayton, New York, where Ladd lives.

Park internship. A sample: Today I got to experience something new, invertebrate sampling. Stream invertebrates are a great indicator of water quality because of their sensitivity to changes in water chemistry so they are a perfect way to monitor the health of the streams in the park.
