K. Dwight, founder of Dwight Asset Management Company, a Burlington,
Vermont-based investment advisory firm, has been elected to a six-year
term on the Board of Trustees of St. Lawrence University. His term
will begin July 1, 2007.

Events
The
University Chorus will perform music from a 20th-century Christmas
in concerts on Saturday, December 2, at 8 p.m. and Sunday, December
3, at 2 p.m., both in Gunnison Memorial Chapel at St. Lawrence University.
The concerts are open to the public, free of charge.

St. Lawrence University's Laurentian
Singers will present "A Victorian Christmas" for their
annual Christmas concert and carol sing-along, on Friday, December
8, at 7 p.m. at the Edwards Opera House and on Saturday, December
9, at 2 p.m. in Gunnison Memorial Chapel on campus. The campus concert
is open to the public, free of charge. The concert in Edwards is
a fund-raiser for the Edwards Opera House, and tickets are $8, at
the door.

85th Annual Candlelight Service of Lessons and 1000 Carols will be
held in Gunnison Memorial Chapel at St. Lawrence University on Wednesday,
December 13, at 7 and 9 p.m.

Research and Recollections: "A
Menorah in the Wilderness" by Lawrence Baron and "Standing
at the Opening of the Tent" by Rabbi Susan Talve'75 were
the two lectures offered for this fall's Siegel Memorial Lecture,
topics chosen to honor St. Lawrence University's Sesquicentennial
celebration. Both lecturers reflect on the history and experiences
of Jewish students at St. Lawrence, Professor Baron from a research
perspective and Rabbi Talve from personal testimony. Both lectures
are now posted to the University's Web site. |
