The Christian A. Johnson Endeavor Foundation has awarded a $200,000
grant to St. Lawrence University to support personnel and program
development initiatives in its Center for Arts Technology. Read

The Fourth Annual North Country Symposium will take place on Monday,
April 17, from 6:15 to 9 p.m. in Eben Holden Hall at St. Lawrence
University. The central topic of this year's event is "Seizing
the Initiative: Applying North Country Symposium Ideas to St. Lawrence
County Projects." Read

"The
Blue Moon, Einstein and Mie" is the title of the 2006 Alfred
Romer Lecture at St. Lawrence University, to be given Thursday, April
13, at 8 p.m. in the auditorium of Hepburn Hall, Room 218, by Michael
A. Paesler, professor of physics at North Carolina State University
in Raleigh. The event is open to the public, free of charge. Read

Zen
Buddhism master the Reverend Roko Sherry Chayat, abbot of the Zen
Center of Syracuse, will give a workshop on Buddhism and meditation
on Wednesday, April 5, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in Herring-Cole on the
St. Lawrence University campus. All are welcome; no meditation experience

Corse, of Canton, is the winner of the 2006 Canton-St. Lawrence University
Race Weekend logo design contest. For submitting the winning entry,
Corse receives free entry to the race of his choice, $100 in cash
