Register Cell Phone
We have installed a new text messaging system that will send brief emergency alerts to cell phones. This system will send text messages to all cell phones that are registered with Human Resources. If you wish to receive a text message on your cell phone in the event of a campus-wide emergency (we hope that such an emergency truly would be rare), we invite you to visit this Web site and register your cell number. Cell phone registration is entirely optional for employees.
Text messaging will be just one of many ways we’ll communicate in the event of an all-campus emergency or immediate threat if violent crime. We’ll use the siren and loudspeaker on the new Security vehicle, email, voice mail, Web postings and direct calls to all campus telephones. So, if your responsibilities prevent you from keeping your cell phone on during parts or all of the workday, be assured we’ll be using multiple communications options.
