A Noble Endeavor
As the first part of a long-term renovation of Griffiths Arts Center and E. J. Noble University Center for larger and more contemporary arts facilities (President Daniel F. Sullivan has described this as “a once-in-a-generation opportunity to organize arts education in new ways”), the former “UC” reopened at the start of the spring term, and students and faculty immediately began taking advantage of the changes. Here’s a tour of the project; some of these features are “transitional” and will be replaced or relocated again in the coming phases of the project, when such grand features as a Center for Arts Technology will be installed.
