Travel and Regional Information
From the St. Lawrence campus, you can
see the foothills of the
Adirondack Mountains, where students frequently visit to hike, canoe,
camp, ski and sightsee. A favorite destination is the
Olympic Village of Lake Placid, only 90 minutes away by car. Traveling
northwest, you reach Ottawa, the capital of Canada, in just 90 minutes.
Students visit there for class meetings or for fun, especially to skate
the canal during Winterlude. Our educational programs, such as our nationally
renowned environmental studies program
or our outdoor studies program,
benefit from our beautiful region. To reach St. Lawrence, you may travel
