St. Lawrence Academics
Chemistry labs, circa 1950 (left) and 2004 (right). The archival photo does not identify the students and faculty (can anyone help us?) and the contemporary photo features Associate Professor of Chemistry Nadia Marano.
Biology filed research in an updated photo from our archives, left, and a contemporary image from 2005, right.
A fine arts studio class in Herring-Cole before the 1965 opening of Griffiths Arts Center, and a studio class in the renovated Noble Center in 2005.
A study group, probably before or near 1925, in Richardson Hall, and students using the contemporary Owen D. Young Library.
This image from our Kenya program in the 1980s probably has had more visibility than almost any other informational photo.
Ok, we selected this image from the Adirondack Semester, fall 2004, because we couldn't resist the similarity of positioning to the turtle shot. Both images show students in off-campus programs.
At the summit of a mountain in Kenya, then and now (both photos undated. St. Lawrence's program in Kenya, launched in 1974, was the first collegiate study abroad program in that African nation.
