In August 2008, the University received a $150,000 grant from the Teagle Foundation to develop a systematic process to assess our liberal arts diversity goals and general education diversity requirements. The grant is carried out by a steering committee and two learning communities under the leadership of Eve Stoddard, Professor of Global Studies. While this grant focuses specifically on our diversity requirements, the processes developed for the assessment will serve as a model for future assessments and revisions of our other educational aims.
