Student Profiles
Stephanie Resavage ’09

Thanks to Stephanie Resavage ’09, some underprivileged kids in Canton were able to wear winter jackets during the coldest months of the year. Resavage and the Foundation for Community Betterment hosted a Las Vegas Casino Night to raise money for coats and other apparel early in the winter.

The senior, a dual psychology and government major, serves as the philanthropy chair for Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and was recently named a student representative to the Alumni Executive Council. “I’m honored to have been chosen for the position – I have the opportunity to be the voice of my peers to the alumni,” she says.

She spent the fall semester of 2007 on St. Lawrence’s program in Washington, D.C., and became the student ambassador for the program.  She has a summer internship with Hill Holliday, an advertising and marketing firm in Boston, and hopes that her experience in the advertising industry will blossom into a career.  “I feel that I could enter a plethora of careers and still be prepared to handle any of them,” Resavage notes.  “Our faculty is second to none and I’ve really been challenged to learn here.”

Resavage, who grew up in Rochester, NY, and graduated from Greece-Olympia High School, set foot on the St. Lawrence campus for the first time as a high school senior and was “awed by the beauty of the campus and the wonderful people here,” she explains.  “When I came to St. Lawrence I immediately felt a sense of belonging, and the students and faculty have become my extended family.” Stephanie is a 2008-09 delegate to the Alumni Council, where her "family" bonds have already strengthened.
