Student Profiles
Lauren Liebhaber ’12

Lauren Liebhaber ’12 credits her analytical thinking skills to the courses she has taken at St. Lawrence.  Her diverse classes have helped her analyze material to reveal complexities and deeper significances.  Lauren says that analytical thinking skills can be implemented in every aspect of life and are applicable to most professions.

The Clinton, NY, native and graduate of Clinton Central High School says she hopes to use her analytical thinking skills to excel as a journalist. The English major, concentrating in writing, says her dream job would be to work for National Geographic

“I would love to go into international journalism or some form of travel writing and write about substantial world issues,” she says.  “I have taken several anthropology courses and to be able to marry English and anthropology would be a dream come true.”

Lauren says she chose SLU because of the individual academic attention students receive at such a small, tight-knit school.  “In addition, there was a really inviting sense of community, not only among students, but between faculty and students as well,” Lauren says.

Upon graduation, Lauren says she would like to travel to Australia before returning to the States for graduate school. She works for the admissions office as a tour guide and member of the social media team, is a student delegate to the Alumni Council and a member of the club cycling team, and was a Community Assistant for Residence Life during her sophomore and junior years.
