Contract Policy for Student Clubs and Organizations

Completing a Contract for your Event

If you want to secure off-campus speakers and entertainment options, you must consult with the Office of Student Activities & Leadership. The Office of Student Activities and Leadership will offer guidance and assist in overseeing procedures, including contract negotiations.

Remember, written contracts, as well as verbal agreements and email conversations, are binding. Do not jeopardize your organization and the University with an improperly executed contract.

Student Organization Purchasing Cards

What is a Student Organization Purchasing Card?

This is a MasterCard charge card issued by HSBC Bank to University departments for purchasing business related goods and services. The student organizations card is issued to the Student Activities & Leadership Office; who oversees the use of the cards by student organizations.

Registering a Student Club or Organization

How to Register a Student Club or Organization

Student organizations are required to register with the Student Activities & Leadership Office at the beginning of each semester. Registration notifies the University of your existence and provides the office with the necessary information in order to communicate with you. Registration will also permit your organization's inclusion in the Student Organization Directory published every semester.

At St. Lawrence there exist a variety of Greek organizations. There are six active Greek chapters on campus, two leadership councils, and one honorary society. Please check out the links below to learn about these organizations.

Greek Council

 What is the Greek Council?

The Greek Council is a student-run governing, leadership and programming body for the fraternities and sororities and St. Lawrence. The council is comprised of executive board members and delegates from each chapter who strive to address the needs of the Greek community, strengthen inter-fraternity relationships, building relationships between Greek members, faculty and staff, and coordinate Greek community wide events

Panhellenic Council

What is the Panhellenic Council?

The Panhellenic Council is a student-run governing, leadership, and programming body for the sororities at St. Lawrence. The Council is university member organization of the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) and strives to further the values of the NPC and the St. Lawrence Greek system.
