Pat began working for Safety & Security in 1997, being appointed by Chief Richard Matte to assist with planning and oversight of the installation of a campus wide card access control system. He first served in the position of Safety & Security Officer while the card access control program transitioned from the planning stages to installation and implementation stages. At this point, he was appointed to the position of System Administrator, working directly with the campus community and the vendor.
