Family Weekend 2012
We are happy to announce that Family Weekend 2012 will be held on Friday, September 21st through Sunday, September 23rd. We invite you to come and enjoy a weekend on campus exploring life at SLU as well as in the Canton community. The weekend’s activities will include a variety of programs that will allow you to explore the academic life, resources, athletic events, arts and other opportunities that shape the student experience at SLU.

Accommodations
We recognize that hotels and area accommodations do fill up quickly. We have compiled a list of local, private accommodations for visiting families to select from. We will continue to update this list as we receive notifications.
Please note:
Highway construction on Main Street/US Route 11 through Canton is underway. Please plan to allow for extra travel time. We do have ongoing communication with the town and will be posting changing traffic patterns closer to Family Weekend. Here is a Canton, NY map you may find helpful to navigate around some of the side streets.

Area Events
In addition to the events and activities on campus there are also some additional festivities happening in Canton and the surrounding area.
- The Remington Arts Festival is a celebration of art and artists in the North Country. Due to the University's close relationship with Canton and the North Country, Family Weekend is collaborating with the Remington Arts Festival to provide information on specific festival events on the Family Weekend schedule.
