At St. Lawrence
Major:
Mathematics and Psychology I have been involved with many different organizations ever since I first arrived on campus. I am the Co-President of SWell (Students for Wellness), a member of Q-Club, SaGA, Next Step, and I frequently participate in Math Department Events like the Putnam Competition held each December and served as a part of SLU's Math Jeopardy team at Clarkson's Math Symposium. In the past, I have also been involved with the Wellness Initiative, SLU Act!, SUBS, the First-Year Cup Committee and the Healthy Body Week Planning Committee.
At the end of my first year I received one of the Bradley R. Evers Outstanding First-Year Student Awards at the Moving Up Day Ceremony for my involvement on campus. I'm a member of the Pi Mu Epsilon Mathematics Honor Society, and I was inducted as a first-semester sophomore. Last spring I was tapped into Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK) which is the National Leadership Honor Society. This fall, I worked with a few other ODK members and the St. Lawrence Women's Volleyball Team to coordinate the Dig Pink! event that was held on campus in October to raise awareness about Breast Cancer.
On campus, I work as a CA for the Office of Residence Life and I am in my second year as a CA. I have also worked as a Community Mentor (CM) since my first year here, where I help co-Coordinate the Next Step program. More recently, I began working last spring for Institutional Research as a Student Research Assistant helping to administer and analyze some of the surveys conducted at SLU.
In my free time I enjoy hanging out with my residents (present and past), my CA friends, volunteering for community events and programs, knitting & scrapbooking, spending time in the Math Major's Lounge, looking into possible Graduate Programs in Mathematics and baking lots and lots of sweet treats!
