My path to St. Lawrence University is a long and twisting journey that began when I challenged myself to take an active role in campus life while balancing my academic responsibilities as an undergraduate student. During my undergraduate years I served two years as a Resident Assistant and then was elected to the Undergraduate Student Senate. I was also fortunate enough to complete my student teaching at Lordswood Boys' School in Birmingham, England. My undergraduate experiences helped me to understand the importance of being actively engaged in campus life and the transformational experience that post secondary education can provide. After completing my B.S. in Education at Kent State University in 1998 I spent time teaching middle school and working with individuals with special needs. In 2000, I came back to higher education as a Residence Hall Director at Cazenovia College. In 2002, I began working on a Masters degree while serving as a Residence Director at Alfred University. After completing my M.S. Ed and a C.A.S. in counseling in 2005 I joined the St. Lawrence community as the Assistant Director of Residence Life.

In my current role my primary responsibilities include supervising the Residential Coordinators as well as overseeing the Community Assistant program. I also work with the members of Omicron Delta Kappa. I truly enjoy working with individuals to develop a sense of self and a greater understanding of what it means to be a leader.
In my spare time I enjoy bird watching, gardening, fishing and being outside with my wife and dog.
