Teresa Corbin
I received a bachelor of science degree in psychology at The Pennsylvania State University in 1976 and a masters degree in clinical social work at Syracuse University in 1996. I have worked in higher education for the past eleven years. My work at St. Lawrence is particularly rewarding because of it's fusion of human development and clinical mental health. I have studied Cognitive Behavioral Therapy extensively and believe it is well tailored to the time-limited interventions required in a university setting. I have built upon the basic concepts of CBT to include components of Dialectic Behavior Therapy and Mindfulness Based Therapy.
Past employment includes the Children and Youth Division of the St. Lawrence County Mental Health Clinic, St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center Day Treatment Program at Potsdam High School and Director of Student Development at Clarkson University.
I moved to Potsdam 17 years ago with my husband and two children from southern Arizona. I have a passion for travel, but have found a home in this quite, friendly community
