Daniel Hernandez
I received my Master’s degree in counseling and human development at San José State University in 1991. In my internship was at the Santa Clara County Hospital Psychiatric Center (1990 – 1991). After receiving my degree I have worked in many settings which included San José State University Educational Opportunity Program, Syracuse University Counseling Center, Catholic Social Ministries and Safe Haven Pender County Shelter for Abused Women. I have been a therapist and Associate Director counseling services at St. Lawrence University since August 1997. My clinical interest include: death, dying and bereavement, cross-cultural psychotherapy, depression, anxiety and social relationships. I use an eclectic approach that includes cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, interpersonal and humanistic approaches.
