SENIOR: Implementation & Transition

GOALS:

1. Learn and implement a variety of networking and job search strategies
2. Develop a concrete job search plan using on- and off-campus resources
3. Explore graduate school options including entrance exams 
4. Continue to explore your chosen career field in depth
5. Prepare for your transition from St. Lawrence

WHAT TO DO:

• Attend your Senior Meeting which will be scheduled for you in September
• Use SAINTSLink to identify job opportunities
• Join the SLU Group on LinkedIn to network with alumni and make connections -
• Take part in the On-Campus Recruiting and Resume Referral program
• Attend the Graduate School Series to learn about Personal Statements, Testing and the Graduate and Professional School Fair
• Attend presentations in the Job Search Series for information on anything from job search strategies to good resources for gap year programs and green jobs
• Apply to one of several consortia events that take place across the country including: Eastern College Career Days (ECCD), Career and Internship Connections (CIC) 
• Attend Alumni Networking Events on-campus and/or across the country
• Explore Going Global’s country guides and attend the Global Graduate Series for international opportunities
• Prepare for interviews with the Interview Guidebook and schedule a video-taped Mock Interview with a professional staff member
• Apply for funding from the Interview Travel Fund
