Alumni Networking: Become a Career Advisor
Thank you for your willingness to be a career advisor to students and young alumni! The St. Lawrence alumni network is strong and active, and allows individuals to carry on discussions, offer feedback, and share insights with current students and alumni. It also provides alumni the chance to broaden their own network by connecting with fellow alums and engaging with the University.
In the past, SAINTSLink was used to maintain the alumni mentoring database. However, with the marked change in how students and alumni network, the decision has been made transfer the alumni network to LinkedIn. St. Lawrence University maintains a specific group within LinkedIn, and alumni and students interested in becoming part of this group are encouraged to submit a request to join.
To be added to the St. Lawrence networking group please login to LinkedIn (linkedin.com) using your account, or create an account if you do not have one (if creating a new account make sure to complete your profile, especially the education section). Click on Groups, conduct a search for "St. Lawrence University (SLU)", and request to join. Once approved, you will be able to post discussions, offer insight and guidance to others, and add connections to your network.
If you are currently a mentor in the SAINTSLink database, please follow the instructions above to become a part of the new alumni network. Your assistance in guiding the next generation of Laurentians is appreciated.
