St. Lawrence interns are dynamic, energetic individuals who can contribute a fresh perspective and provide temporary assistance with special projects. For employers, this represents a valuable opportunity to "try out" students as potential employees with little or no risk.
Because the academic year at St. Lawrence follows a traditional, two-semester calendar, Career Services suggests two different options for internships: January recess (approximately 3 to 4 weeks) and/or Summer (up to 12 weeks). You may also choose to design a program option that complements your organization's schedule.
Compensation is at the discretion of the sponsoring organization. In an ideal world, all interns would be paid yet it is not a requirement for sponsoring organizations. For more information regarding the issue of paid/unpaid internships, we recommend employers consult the regulations provided by the US Department of Labor.
To post an internship, complete an Internship Information Form. You may also contact our Internship Coordinator, Emily McDonnell or call 315-229-5906.
Once we receive your internship description our staff will begin publicizing your opportunity to the campus community. Interested students will contact you directly or we can establish a more formal Resume Referral and collect application materials for you. Additionally, to arrange on-campus interviews, contact our Internship Coordinator.
