Baccalaureate Ceremony

The Baccalaureate Ceremony will be held Sunday, May 20, at 8:00 a.m. in Gunnison Memorial Chapel.

The Baccalaureate Ceremony is a special ceremony that allows the senior class to reflect on their college experience. It seeks to include a variety of reflections, including spiritual perspectives represented in the senior class. It is dedicated to the hope of mutual understanding and appreciation of individual and collection gifts in this community and throughout the world.  

Students are invited to recite a reading, share a reading with a family member, say a prayer, create a piece of art, play a musical piece, sing, or in some other way reflect on their four years here at St. Lawrence University. The ceremony is held right before commencement at 8:00 a.m.
