Candlelight Service - Wednesday, December 12, at 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. in Gunnison Memorial Chapel
- The Candlelight Service is a 91 year old annual event service held in Gunnison Memorial Chapel the last Wednesday of fall semester. Two services are marked by traditional Christmas carols punctuated with readings and music by the Laurentian Singers, the University Chorus, and a Community Children's Chorus. The Chapel is illumined by over 250 candles, in addition to the individual candles each congregant holds, which creates a very special moment in the life or our community. Candles are a universal symbol of hope in the midst of the darkness, so Laurentians from all walks of faith find meaning and hope in this service.
