Academic Achievement
The Office of Academic Achievement serves as a resource for St. Lawrence
students by helping them to identify academic areas of strength and
areas in need of improvement and to implement specific strategies to
achieve greater academic success. The Office of Academic Achievement hosts the following programs:
Free Peer Tutoring Program
Academic Counseling
Academic Success Workshops
Contact Coordinator of
Academic Achievement at 229-5600, for detailed information about these
programs.
Academic Support
The goal of this office is to help students
achieve their academic potential or to help students discover and address what
might be interfering with their academic success. Contact Coordinator
of Academic Support at 229-5537, for detailed information about these programs.
Academic Services for Students with Special Needs
The Office of Academic Services for Students
with Special Needs is here to ensure that all students with disabilities can
freely and actively participate in all facets of University life, to coordinate
support services and programs that enable students with disabilities to reach
their educational potential, and to increase the level of awareness among all
members of the University so that students with disabilities are able to perform
at a level limited only by their abilities, not their disabilities.
Students
who identify themselves as having a disability and who provide documentation
of the disability are assisted in finding the academic assistance they
need. Although
we do not provide evaluations (nor do most colleges and universities), we
do assist them in the process of obtaining an evaluation. If the evaluation
identifies a disability and accommodations are needed, we help students receive
them. Contact
Director of Academic Services for Students with Special Needs at 229-5104,
for information or assistance.
