Certification for Degrees in Course
It
is the prerogative of the faculty to determine whether or not a candidate
for a degree in course has fulfilled the requirements for that degree. No
candidate may be certified for a degree in course over the objections
of the faculty. A student who is not certified for graduation
by the faculty but believes he or she is entitled to graduate may appeal
the decision through the Academic Petitions Committee. (Further information: Associate
Dean for Faculty Affairs, Vilas 103.)
