NY6 Upstate-Global Collective Summer Research Fellowships (Deadline 2/22/2017)

New York Six Upstate-Global Collective Summer Student Research Fellowship

The Upstate-Global Collective is an initiative of the New York Six Liberal Arts Consortium which aims to create scholarly communities across our member schools (Colgate University, Hamilton College, Hobart and William Smith Colleges, St. Lawrence University, Skidmore College and Union College). Student researchers will work alongside faculty mentors across the Consortium to explore themes that not only have rich historical roots here in upstate New York, but are also of current consequence worldwide.

The Fellowship typically requires eight weeks of full-time research during the summer months. Students awarded a Fellowship receive a $3,600 stipend (or $450/week), as well as the opportunity to participate in a biweekly research roundtable and an invitation to the NY6 Upstate-Global Collective Research Symposium. This opportunity is open to students actively enrolled in good academic standing at any of the New York Six schools. Specific qualifications will vary by position. More information, including a detailed list of research positions available, can be found online at the NY6 Liberal Arts Consortium website: http://www.newyork6.org/UGCSummerStudentResearchFellowship

Apply online by February 22, 2017. Fellowship finalists will be notified before mid-March.
