St. Lawrence University seeks to fill a full time, Principal Clerk position in the Student Financial Services Department. Under the supervision of the Director, greet all visitors to the Student Financial Services Office and provide assistance, answer questions, and perform clerical functions related to student accounts. Position includes high volume of phone calls and student/parent interaction. Support other clerical positions in the office as needed.
Qualifications: Candidate must be customer service oriented and must maintain strict confidentiality when working with students and families. Associates degree in accounting or at least three years accounting or business experience is required. Experience with computer systems and MS Excel and Word required. Working knowledge of Access preferred. Ability to learn related software systems required. Experience in higher education is preferred. Strong candidate will be team oriented and have ability to prioritize work.
