Fall 2007: Gilman went 1-0 at the number four singles position and 1-0 at the number one doubles position with partner Liz Karam this fall. She was selected to participate in the 2007 Wilson/ITA Northeast Regional Tournament for singles and doubles where she had a 1-1 record for singles and a 1-1 record for doubles. In other tournament action, the number four seed Gilman competed all the way to the semifinals of the NYSWCAA Tournament before falling to the number one seed, Kliman, from Vassar College. Gilman and Karam fell in the quarterfinals of the number one singles draw to Skidmore’s Fancher and Loeb.

 

2006-2007: Gilman began her first year with an impressive 18-4 singles record. She spent most of the year playing the number five singles position ending with an 11-1 dual match record. At the number four position, she garnered an impressive 5-0 singles record. Gilman and doubles partner, Liz Karam, participated as the number two doubles team and were undefeated in dual match play in the regular 2006-2007 season, ending with a 12-0 record. In the fall of 2006, she participated in several tournaments including the 2006 Wilson/ITA Northeast Regional Tournament and the NYSWCAA Tournament as a member of the number one doubles team with partner Liz Karam. The two-time Liberty League Rookie of the Week was also selected as a Liberty League Player of the Week in March 2006.

At Holderness High School

Gilman was a three sport athlete in field hockey, alpine skiing and tennis, earning 12 Varisty letters during her high school career. A four-year captain of the tennis team, Gilman won the Lakes Region Tennis Title twice in both singles and doubles, received her team's Coaches and Most Valuable Player Award and received the Webster Cup Award for the most athletic female athlete. Gilman was a member of the Honor Roll every semester of her high school career.
