Mary Jane Sweetland '10
Attack
Hopewell, NJ
Stuart Country Day School

2008: In her sophomore season, Sweetland started in each of St. Lawrence's 16 contests and continued to be a solid contributor on the field. She scored 21 goals and added three assists for 24 points, one of nine Saints to reach double digits in point totals. The attack's second game-winner of her career came in a crucial contest with conference opponent Rensselaer, where Sweetland continued to come through in sudden death opportunities to help the Scarlet and Brown to a 12-11 victory that helped her team advance to the Liberty League Championship Tournament. The Hopewell, NJ native continued to reap the benefits of her successes both on and off the field, as she was an honorable mention for the All-Conference Team this season, and was named to the Liberty League All-Academic Team for her performance in the classroom.

2007: Sweetland had an outstanding rookie season, which included playing in each of the Saints' 14 games and earning a start in ten of them. The attack tallied 13 goals and four assists for 17 points in 2007, scoring her first collegiate game-winning goal against St. John Fisher, a game that went into double overtime. The first year also picked up 17 ground balls and won five draw controls while causing one turnover.
