WOLFF NAMED TO D3HOOPS.COM

ALL-REGION SECOND TEAM

Mar. 19: Senior guard and co-captain Jamie Wolff was named to the D3hoops.com All-Region Second Team Wednesday after leading the St. Lawrence women’s basketball team to their first Liberty League tournament title this season, as well as their second consecutive NCAA Tournament berth.

Wolff (Buffalo, NY/Nardin Academy) scored 470 points, averaging 16.2 points per game, in her senior year, the highest of anyone in the Liberty League, and reached the 1,000-point milestone in her first conference game in 2007-2008.  A starter in all but three games throughout her entire four years at St. Lawrence, the guard was a three-time conference First Team selection, and was also named to the Liberty League All-Academic Team each of the three years she was eligible.  In her final year as a Saint, Wolff was named MVP of both the Stevens Tip-Off Tournament and the Norwich Tournament after leading the Scarlet and Brown to both titles.  She was a seven-time “Guard of the Week” pick in the conference.

The Saints season ended when they fell to nationally-ranked Messiah College in the second round of the 2008 NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball Tournament.  Messiah is still alive in the tournament and will be playing in the Final Four this upcoming weekend at host Hope College.
