Chelsea Grills '07
Forward
Stittsville, Ontario
Ottawa Raiders

2006-07: After being forced to sit out the 2005-06 season due to injury, Grills returned to the Saints line-up in a major way in 2006-07, notching 44 points (16g,28a) in 35 games. The Stittsville, Ontario native captained the team in her senior season, and led the team in game-winning goals with seven. Grills was outstanding in the final twelve games of the season, collecting 21 points down the stretch for the Scarlet and Brown on the way to their fourth consecutive Frozen Four. She was selected to the ECACHL's Third Team, and was named USCHO.com's "Offensive Player of the Week" on February 27th.

2005-06: After opening her career in the Scarlet and Brown in impresive fashion, Grills was forced to sit out with a medical red-shirt in the 2005-06 season. The Stittsville, Ont. native collected one assist in two games before having season-ending surgery. However, she continued to serve the team off the ice, helping with a variety of behind-the-scenes activities. Her persistent, confident attitude has landed a "C" on Grills' jersey for the upcoming 2006-07 season, where she will look to add more firepower to an already explosive Saint offense.

2004-05: Grills finished third on the team in scoring with 43 points (20g, 20a), surpassing her point total from a year ago. Playing in just 32 games because of a groin injury and the 2005 Air Canada Cup, she has scored in 26 of those games. Strong in the clutch, Grills had 18 special teams points. On the power play, she had seven goals and eight assists. When the Saints were short-handed, she had one goal and two assists. Grills also has four game-winners. With just two seasons under her belt, she already ranks in the top-10 in Saints history in career points, goals, power-play goals, and short-handed goals. She ranks in the top-15 in career assists and game-winning goals. On October 26, she was named the USCHO.com/ITECH Offensive Player of the Week for a three-goal outing against the Mercyhurst Lakers.

2003-04:
Grills was named the ECAC's Rookie of the Year after scoring 37 points (17g, 20a) in 35 games. She was third on the team in scoring and led the nation in rookie scoring. Grills played for the Canadian U-22 Team along with teammates Rebecca Russell and Laurie Ross which won the Air Canada Cup. She set the Saints record for assists by a rookie with 19 and was named the team's Rookie of the Year. Grills netted the gamewinner against Dartmouth in the NCAA Third Place game (3/28/04). She scored her first career collegiate goal in against Providence (10/19/03). She picked up her first career collegiate point, an assist, in her first career game against Northeastern (10/18/04).
