BISACCIO AND LUDINGTON NAMED
CAPTAINS FOR 2008 SEASON
May 14: St. Lawrence University women’s cross country head coach Mike Howard announced this week that Lyndsay Bisaccio and Johannah Ludington will serve as captains for the 2008 season.
Bisaccio (left) served as a captain in 2007 and ran in seven of the team’s eight races. The Bennington, VT native had a pair of top-30 finishes, including a 19th place finish at Plattsburgh and 29th place showing at the Liberty League Championships.
Ludington (right) continued to be one of the Saints’ top runners as a sophomore, finishing in the top-25 in every race in 2007. The Morrisville, VT native was 4th in the Liberty League Championships, 3rd in the Saratoga Invitational and earned New York State First Team honors. Ludington, who narrowly missed out on a birth to NCAA’s last season, is also a member of the Nordic ski team.
“I have great confidence that Lyndsay and Johannah will bring a balance to the table which will be extremely beneficial to our program in a number of ways,” said Coach Howard. “As Henry Ford said, ‘Coming together is a beginning, keeping together is progress, working together is success,’ so I fully expect that we are going to accomplish a lot of great things this fall.”
