2007: Ludington continued to be one of St. Lawrence's top runners in her sophomore season, as she finished in the top-25 in every race in 2007. The Morrisville, VT native was 4th in the Liberty League Championships (22:48), 3rd in the Saratoga Invitational (17:44.9) and earned New York State First Team honors with a 7th place finish at the NYSCTC Championships (17:38). Ludington narrowly missed out on a berth to the NCAA Championships behind a 24th place finish at Regionals (22:18).
At Peoples Academy
Johanna was one of the top small-school runners in Vermont, winning league championships and finishing second in the Division III state championship race for two straight years. She was in the top 20 in the New England championships as a junior. She finished second overall in the GMAA Scholarship 5 K in August. She was also a standout in the 3000 meters in track and was a member of the National Honor Society.
