The Program ... Saints Volleyball

 

Strong senior leadership coupled with an excellent group of young players identifies St. Lawrence as a force to be reckoned with both in the Liberty League and the New York State Women’s Collegiate Athletic Association.

 

Most remarkable about the squad is the strength of its offense and its work ethic. With a fresh focus on defense, new head coach Melissa DeRan hopes to build a team with a strong all-around foundation that can move to the next level in the Division III volleyball circuit.

 

The Saint schedule is a combination of tournament and dual or tri-match play leading up to the conference tournament, the NYSWCAA tournament and possible NCAA tournament play at the end of the season. Clarkson, Skidmore, Union and Vassar join the Saints in the highly competitive Liberty League for volleyball, which includes both in-season dual competition and the conference tournament. The Saints play in the Oneonta, Union and North Country tournaments to start their season as well as hosting a tournament of their own.
