CLARKSON TOPS SAINTS IN THREE Sept. 4: Clarkson University swept arch-rival St. Lawrence in three straight games to win a dual match at SLU’s Burkman Gym Tuesday night and both teams are now 2-3 heading into this weekend’s Victory Promotions Invitational hosted by Potsdam and played at both Potsdam and SLU.
The Golden Knights took game one 30-26, coming from behind as Jessica Agnew and Jenna Stock combined for seven kills. Clarkson took early leads in both games two and three and while the Saints came back in both games, the Knights prevailed 30-20 and 30-22.
Hillary Lockwood had five kills in game two while Agnew had seven in game three. Stock had 22 assists for Clarkson and 14 digs while Alison Schroeder had 15 digs.
Jessica Lucky led the Saints with 12 kills and added nine digs in the three game. Abby Rose had 15 assists and 11 digs and Tammy Couch had 16 digs.
