2007-2008: Trumbower's sprint events saw the most improvement in his junior season, as he achieved three career best times in the 50, 100 and 200 yard freestyle events at the UNYSCSA Championships in February. The Naples, NY native was unable to compete at the 2007 Liberty League Championships, but came through for the Saints in their final championship swim meet of the season, where he was a member of the 8th place 800 free relay, 10th place 200 free relay, and the 11th place 400 medley and 400 free relay teams.Individually, Trumbower placed 13th in the 200 free. Out of the pool, Trumbower's performance in the classroom helped him earn Liberty League All-Academic honors.

2006-2007: Mike had another solid season for the Saints as a sophomore and improved his times at three different freestyle distances. He finished 13th in the UNYSCSA Championships in the 1650 with a career best of 17:31.55 and swam on the 400 and 800 free relay teams which both had top ten finishes in the state meet.

2005-2006: Trumbower was a mainstay for the Saints in the sprint freestyle events during the dual meet season. He was also instrumental in many of the relays throughout both the dual meet season and conference championship. Trumbower came through in the clutch at the state meet, scoring in  the 200 freestyle finishing 22nd overall. Mike's performance during the taper phase of the season was outstanding. He dropped three seconds in his 100 free, five seconds in his 200 free; and an ashtonishing 26 seconds in his 500 free.

Trumbower was named Captain of the swim team for two years for outstanding leadership, and is listed as a Member of the National Honor Society. He was a top five finisher at sectionals and has been swimming for a USA club team since 3rd grade.
