2007-2008: Pellerin became a standout for the Saints in his rookie season, as he not only led his first-year class but also led the team in the second half of his 2007-2008 campaign, where he achieved each of his career best times. The Plattsburgh, NY native was a member of the sixth place 400 Freestyle Relay, and was also a member of the 13th place 200 Freestyle and 400 Medley Relay teams at the Liberty League Championships. At the same meet,he scored points for the Scarlet and Brown in the 1650 free(9th place), 200 fly (13th place) and 200 free (16th place). At the UNYSCSA Championships in February, Pellerin earned a spot in the Bonus Final in both the 200 and 500 free where he placed 24th and 23rd, respsectively, although his highest individual finish came on the last day of competition in the mile, where he placed 11th overall. He was also a member of the eighth place 800 Freestyle Relay team.

At Seton Catholic Central
Pellerin was a three sport athlete, competing in swimming, cross country, and track and field. In swimming, he was twice the 200-yard freestyle champion in New York State's Section 7, as well as the 100-yard backstroke, 100-yard butterfly, and 500-yard freestyle champion throughout his high school years. He was a three time state qualifier and was the recipient of the New York State Sportsmanship Award. He was given the Knight of the Year Award, the most prestigious award given to one senior at Seton Catholic Central, at graduation.
