 MEN DEFEAT NAZARETH 155-77; WOMEN FALL 169-68 Nov. 4: The St .Lawrence men dominated Nazareth, taking a 155-77 vicotry away from Saturday's meet. Led by Matt Kirkpatrick and Matt Trumbower, the men's team won all but two races. Kirkpatrick had a phenomenal day, winning the 1000 yard freestyle, the 200 yard individual medley and the 100 yard butterfly. With a time of 10:46. 67, his 1000 yard free time was significantly faster than the closest competitor who finished at 11:27:52. In the 200 IM, Kirkpatrick finished in 2:11.11 and posted a 58.83 100 fly.
Trumbower took first in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:00.53 and first in the 500 yard freestyle, while Chris Woolston won the 100 yard backstroke. In the 50 yard freestyle, the Saints took the top two spots. Robo Ibler finished the race in 23.12, just ahead of Woolston. Ibler also won the 100 yard free with a time of 51.16
Jason Johnson dominated in the diving well, finishing first in the men's three meter and one meter diving. He earned 173.75 points on the 3 meter platform while collecting 225.55 on the one meter.
Nazareth took the majority of the women's races as Kim Watcke seized the only Saint victory winning the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:03.93.
The women finished strong in the 200 yard individual medley, taking second and third place. Kate Farrell finished second with a time of 2:24.44 while Alida Gerritsen finished the race in third at 2:26.19. Abby Lynch took second place in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2;05.71 and Ashley Bogosian raced the 50 yard freestyle in 26.32, finishing second by .03 of a second and was also second in the 100 free.
