ST. LAWRENCE UNIVERSITY Meet Results MURRAY BREAKS 26-YEAR OLD SCHOOL RECORD, March 4 — Mike Murray capped a terrific season by breaking a 26-year old school record in the 200-yard freestyle in the UNYSCSA championship meet over the weekend. Murray finished the race in 1:43.24, breaking a record set in 1976 by more than a quarter of a second. He finished the race in third behind Union’s Ridgely Harrison and Hartwick’s Chris Maiello. The time is an NCAA provisional qualifier, and Murray will find out on Thursday whether he will be making a trip to the NCAA championship meet later this month. Murray added a fifth place finish in the 100 free and a sixth in the 50 free. He also led the Saints to three top-flight finishes in three relays. The 200 free relay and the 400 medley relay each earned seventh place finishes, while the 200 medley relay finished in eighth place. The Saints placed tenth as a team with 370.5 points.
