SAAC Meeting Minutes- February 24, 2008
- National Girls and Women in Sports Day ( February 15, 2008)
- Thanks to everyone who helped to make this event successful. Everything went well and girls from around the community received a bracelet, poster and raffle ticket for St. Lawrence apparel and local gift certificates.
- Student-Athlete Etiquette Dinner ( February 11, 2008)
- The first annual Student-Athlete Etiquette Dinner was organized by Carol Bate and Sarah Coburn. It was an enjoyable event so they are going to try to continue it next year.
- NCAA Diversity Speaker ( February 25, 2008)
- Speaker Rodney Patterson will be holding 2 sessions in Eben Holden at 5 and 7 pm. One first year student and upperclassman leader are expected to attend from each team.
- National Student-Athlete Luncheon (Wednesday April 2, 2008)
- This will be held in Eben Holden from 12:00 to 1:00. There will be more information coming.
- Star Search ( April 14, 2008)
- Start talking to your teams about this event. We will be discussing more in the next few meetings.
- Baby Drive
- Remember to bring in diapers and formula for the baby drive.
- Elections
- Lyndsay Bisaccio (president), Carson Duggan (Vice-president) and Lauren Sischo (Secretary) were all elected to take over the chair positions for 2008.
