SAAC MEETING MINUTES
- Website
- The website has been updated and will continue to be. We took a picture of everyone at the meeting to put up on the website.
- Look for announcements and meeting times on the website.
- Legislation
- We went over NCAA legislation changes that are being voted on.
- Dodgeball
- The tournament is December 8 th from 9-12 pm and there will be one hour shifts. We need 6 more people to sign up to work.
- So far we have Ben Von Reyn, Lindsey Taylor and Jen Stetson.
- Please e-mail Meg, Austin or one of the chairs if you can work.
- Hockey Games
- Thank you to softball for working this past weekend at the Clarkson game.
- The other dates for working are:
- January 25 : Men’s Crew
- January 26 : Women’s XC
- February 8 th : Volleyball
- February 9 th : Golf
- Church and Community Program
- Women’s soccer is signed up to go this week and skiing to go next week.
- Let one of the chairs know if you have any questions about this.
- National Girls and Women Sports Day-
- We will be celebrating this on February 15 th.
- We will be using the women’s basketball game as the “tip-off” and will be encouraging all SLU female athletes to come out and show support for women’s sports.
- There will be a half-time presentation with SLU female athletes and Section X female athletes. There will also be SLU wrist bands being given out as well as a raffle of items donated by SLU teams.
- Baby Drive
- This will begin at the same time as the National Girls and Women Sport Day. We are going to be helping out area families in need of diapers and formula by raising these items. Boxes will be placed around campus and there will be free admission for the community at the women’s hockey game if they bring diapers or formula.
- NCAA Diversity Speaker
- A speaker on diversity will be coming on February 25 th. Captains and first-year student-athletes will attend one of the two sessions. We will have more information as we get closer.
