Saints to Celebrate "National Girls and Women

in Sports Day" on Feb. 15

St. Lawrence University will be celebrating "National Girls and Women in Sports Day" on Friday, February 15th at the Women's Basketball game versus William Smith, which begins at 6:00pm in the Burkman Gymnasium.

The University invites all female athletes, past and present, to come together in support of women's athletics. The event will include free giveaways to young Section 10 athletes.

The "National Girls and Women in Sports Day" celebration will also serve as the tip-off to

St. Lawrence's 2008 Baby Drive, which helps support the Canton Neighborhood Center. Unlike a regular canned-food drive, the University's Baby Drive calls for donations of baby diapers and formula to benefit those families in need.

We ask all families, teams, athletes and fans in attendance to bring either item to help support the cause.

A drop box will also be set up in the Student Center near the Info Desk and in Augsbury Center as well.
