William Way - IC

Ithaca graduate student William Way finished 17th at the Oberlin Inter-regional Rumble, with a career-best eight-kilometer finish of 25 minutes, 34.80 seconds. His finish also spearheaded the Bombers to a strong eighth-place finish in a field of 31 teams.

 

Heidi Baumbach - IC

Junior Heidi Baumbach led Ithaca for the fifth time this season as the Bombers ran to a 10th-place finish. She finished the in 16th place, crossing the finish line of the six-kilometer course in a season-best 22 minutes and 44 seconds.

Kosgei - Hamilton

Peter Kosgei, Senior, led Hamilton College to first place in the nine-team Hamilton Invitational on Oct. 9. Hamilton's winning team score was 35 points. SUNY Brockport was the runner-up with 44 points. The Continentals placed four runners in the top 10. Kosgei's time was 25:32.5 on the 8-kilometer course. He won the race by 27 seconds. A total of 99 runners competed.

 

 

Pavlus - St. Lawrence

St. Lawrence University senior Wendy Pavlus earned the individual title at the 2010 Hoffmann Invitational on Saturday. The Saints earned the team title with 17 points. Pavlus posted an impressive time of 22:11, finishing 56 seconds ahead of the second place competitor.

Ramsey

Senior Dan Ramsey of the St. Lawrence University men's cross country team placed 56th in a time of 24:56 in the Lehigh University's Paul Short Gold race.  Dan was the third division III runner to cross the finish line and helped lead the Saints to a 20th place finish.  The Saints narrowly missed upsetting NCAA #3 Allegheny by just 4 points but were able to finish ahead of NCAA #4 Haverford by 36 points.

 

Pavlus

Senior Wendy Pavlus finished 22nd at the Prestigious Paul Short Invitational leading the Saints to a 27th place finish in the Gold Race which featured 40 of the top DI and DII teams in the nation.  Pavlus’ time of 21:06 established a new personal best time and was over 50 seconds faster than the nearest DIII competitor.

Ramsey

Senior Dan Ramsey of the St. Lawrence University men's cross country team placed first in the Oneonta Airfield Invite (Pre-Atlantic Regional) on Saturday. Ramsey finished the 8,000-meter race in a time of 24:43 for the victory.  The senior led his team to 42 point team score and team champion accolades.  

 


Pavlus

Senior Wendy Pavlus of St. Lawrence University set a new course record and finished first of 246 runners at the Oneonta Airfield Invite, which served as the Pre-Atlantic Regional meet. Wendy’s time of 21:21.7 was not only a course record, but was good enough for a 27 second victory over the second place finisher. St. Lawrence University won the meet with a very impressive team score of 50 points.

BRIAN LANG - ROCHESTER


Lang

Senior Brian Lang of the Rochester men's cross country team placed first in the Brockport Invitational on Saturday. Lang cruised through the 8,000-meter race in a time of 25:30.64.  The senior led his team to an impressive 20 point team score.

 


LAUREN NORTON - ROCHESTER


Norton

Junior Lauren Norton finished first of 58 runners and led University of Rochester to the team title in the Brockport Invitational on Saturday. Norton established a new course record with her finishing time of 23:05, over the 6,000-meter course. The Yellow Jackets took the team title with a team score of 41 points.
