Peter Kosgei

Hamilton College junior Peter Kosgei ran a 25:07 for the eight kilometer course, to finish first out of 119 runners at the 2008 NESCAC Championship meet. Kosgei finished 35 seconds ahead of the next closest competitor.

 

Norton
University of Rochester
Laura Norton

University of Rochester freshman Lauren Norton ran an impressive 22:17 over the six kilometer course, to finish seventh out of 76 runners at the 2008 UAA Championship. Norton led her team to a fifth place finish, in a very competitive championship field.

Kosgei
Hamilton College junior Peter Kosgei ran a 25:04 for the eight kilometer course, to finish first out of 310 runners at the 2008 Saratoga Invitational (hosted by RPI). Kosgei led his team to an eighth place finish.

 

Pavlus
St. Lawrence University sophomore Wendy Pavlus ran a very impressive 17:28 over the five kilometer course, to finish first out of 267 runners at the 2008 Saratoga Invitational (hosted by RPI). Pavlus led her team to a decisive 24 point victory over nationally ranked Ithaca College.

Ramsey

St. Lawrence University sophomore Dan Ramsey crossed the finish line third place in a field of 271 runners on Saturday afternoon as he led the St. Lawrence University men’s cross country team to fourth place team finish at a very competitive Oberlin Cross Country Invitational. Ramsey ran an impressive time of 24:52 over the eight kilometer course.

 

Pavlus

St. Lawrence University sophomore Wendy Pavlus ran a very impressive 21:35 over the six kilometer course Saturday at the Oberlin Cross Country Invitational. Pavlus earned second place overall out of 232 runners, and led her team to a third place finish.

Kosgei

Peter Kosgei, junior from Hamilton College ran a course record and meet record 24:39.9 for 8,000 meters, to finish first out of 117 runners at the 2008 Hamilton Invitational. Leading Hamilton College team to a third place finish. The old record of 25:04.8 was held by Julius Rono of Roberts Wesleyan.

 

Nadolski

Senior Lindsey Nadolski from Ithaca College, finished first place at the Hamilton Invitational in a time of 17:38.3. Hamilton College will be hosting the NYSCTC championships later this season. Ithaca finished second place, with a team score of 49 points.

Ramsey

St. Lawrence University sophomore Dan Ramsey crossed the finish line first in a field of 103 runners on Saturday afternoon as he led the St. Lawrence University men’s cross country team to their 14th consecutive Liberty League championship. Ramsey ran an impressive time of 25:41 over the eight kilometer course.

 

Nadolski

Senior Lindsey Nadolski from Ithaca College, finished 52nd overall in a field of 301 runners at the Paul Short Run Invitational hosted by Lehigh University. Her time of 21:35 was a new personal best at the six kilometer distance.

As a team the Bombers finished 29th overall. They finished ahead of 13 higher-division schools.

Kosgei

Hamilton College junior Peter Kosgei was the top collegiate finisher on Saturday’s 17th Annual Ronald C. Hoffmann Invitational, hosted by St. Lawrence University.  The Hoffmann Invitational served as the Pre-NCAA Atlantic Regional meet. Kosgei earned 1st place overall out of 250 runners, and ran the second fastest time ever recorded on the SLU course. Kosgei covered the 8k course in a time of 25:03.

 

Pavlus

St. Lawrence University sophomore Wendy Pavlus was the top collegiate finisher on Saturday’s 17th Annual Ronald C. Hoffmann, hosted by St. Lawrence University.  The Hoffmann Invitational served as the Pre-NCAA Atlantic Regional meet. Pavlus earned 2nd place overall out of 189 runners, and led her team to a third place finish.  The Tupper Lake, NY native ran the 6k course in a time of 22:01.

Hodge

Ithaca senior Drew Hodge won the Misericordia Cougar Classic and leading the Bombers to a team title on Saturday.

Hodge edged his nearest competitor by a second, winning the eight kilometer race in 26:18. He was one of nine Bombers to finish among the top 11 runners. With 23 points, Ithaca scored 26 points less than the second-place squad.

 

Fitzpatrick

Sophomore Meredith FitzPatrick
finished third and helped lead Hamilton College to the SUNY Oneonta Airfield Invitational team title at Oneonta's Fortin Park on Sept. 19.
Hamilton topped the nine-team field with 56 points. SUNY Plattsburgh was a close second with 63 and Division II Mansfield University took third place with 68 points.
FitzPatrick, who competed in the NCAA Division III championship in 2007, finished with a time of 17:12 on the 4,500-meter course.

Peter Kosgei (JR) from Hamilton college ran a 15:42 over the 5k course at the 2008 Brockport 5K Challenge meet to take the individual victory by :24 seconds over the next closest competitor.

Ithaca College

Nadolski

Nadolski, Lindsey (SR) from Ithaca College ran a 17:00 over the 4.5k course to take the individual title at the Oswego Laker Invite. Her effort helped her team to a decisive team title against a tough SUNY Cortland team.

Junior Curt Bell (Marcellus/Marcellus) led the Bomber men’s cross country team to a team victory at the Oneonta Early Bird Invitational. Bell’s time of 19:44 over the 6 kilometer course earned him the individual victory.

Melanie McCormick

Junior Melanie McCormick (Champlain Valley Union/Willston, Vt.) led the Bombers to a first place team finish at the Oneonta Early Bird Invitational, placing second overall with a time of 17:52 on the 4,500m course.
