2007: Karnedy was again a reliable, consistent skier on the men's Nordic team in his junior season. The East Calais, VT native had a pair of top-20 finishes including a 16th place finish in the 10K Free at the St. Michael's Carnival and a season-best 11th place finish in the same event at the 2007 EISA Championships at Middlebury. Karnedy only finished outside of the top-30 one during during his junior campaign.

2006: Hunter continued to be one of the top skiers on the men's team in second season of collegiate racing. He opened his season with a fantastic 3rd place overall finish in the 20km Freestyle at the Colby Carnival, his first podium finish in his career. Combined with four other top-15 finishes, Karnedy earned a bid to the 2006 NCAA Championships in Steamboat Springs, CO, where he finished 30th in the Classic race and 20th in the Freestyle.

2005: Karnedy had an oustanding rookie season for the Saints, culminating in an NCAA bid. He began the season with a 29th place finish at the US Cross Country Championships in the 30K skate race. Karnedy finished 15th or higher in five of eight races, including a season-best 5th place finish. At the Vermont Carnival, he placed fifth in the 20K Freestyle. At the NCAA Championships, Karnedy finished 37th in the 10K Classic and 28th in the 20K Freestyle to finish the season.
