2006: McBride played on the Saints football team in the fall. He will compete in throwing events for the track and field team.
At Mechanicville High School
McBride participated in football and both indoor and outdoor track and field. A two-year varsity football captain, McBride excelled at linebacker and offensive guard. He was named Class C First-Team All-League at linebacker his junior and senior year, First-Team at offensive guard his junior year and Second-Team at guard his senior season. In track and field, McBride was named most valuable player his senior season. He was also a scholar athlete in 2004 and 2005 and a National Football Foundation Scholar Athlete.
