“St. Lawrence has been very successful over the years in bringing not just athletes but student-athletes to its campus,” said Coach Freeman. “The tennis program is no different. I am extremely proud of these five individuals and the example they set for their teammates and classmates.”
Ellis and Kyte are two-time ITA Scholar-Athlete honorees, while Palmer-Angell is a three-time ITA Scholar-Athlete honoree. Ellis posts a career singles record of 31-35, including a 16-10 mark in 2004-2005. Kyte, after missing the majority of the 2004-2005 season due to injury, posts a career 9-3 singles record.

SAINTS LOOK TO IMPROVE ON
May 12: The Saints Men’s Tennis Team will lose just one senior this season, returning nearly every member of a team that went 8-11 on the season, but finished third in the Liberty League Tournament.
St. Lawrence opened the season in March with a tough non-conference slate in Hilton Head, S.C. over Spring Break. The Saints faced Wheaton, Denison and Wooster – all of whom were ranked in their region by the ITA and had individuals ranked. St. Lawrence returned from the trip down south with tough losses on the record, but gained valuable experience heading into league competition.
St. Lawrence faced tough competition against Liberty League opponents Union, Rensselaer, Skidmore, Vassar, Hamilton and Hobart. The Saints earned tight wins over Union during the regular season and in the Liberty League Tournament. They also defeated Rensselaer twice. The Saints dropped tough matches to Vassar, Hobart, and tournament-champion Skidmore.
With an experienced roster returning next season, including Liberty League honorees Matt Dwyer and Mike Wiltshire, Head Coach Jeremy Freeman looks to improve on the 2004-2005 season and compete for a Liberty League Championship.
